In True Detective, "Carcosa" era un luogo oscuro e inquietante, una rappresentazione del male che affligge il mondo. "Karkosa" invece è la trasposizione in musica di quell'angolo oscuro e inquietante della mia mente, ma anche di quella di ognuno di noi, dove annidiamo le nostre perversioni e i nostri malesseri. L'album si può riassumere come una spirale discendente verso il mio lato 'dark'.
